(CPD) in the College of Engineering develops
and delivers programs and services that enable engineers,
managers, and technical professionals to be more effective,
productive and competitive. CPD provides customized
training and education programs for industry, government,
military, and nonprofit organizations. For example,
United Technologies Corporation (UTC) is working with
the CPD to offer a Master of Engineering in Manufacturing
and a Graduate Certificate in Lean and Six Sigma.
Regularly scheduled University of Michigan Engineering
courses are delivered to the workplace or online,
enabling students to enroll in the program part-time,
while continuing education through distance learning.
